Radiographic NDT Engineer (Level 3) - Intertek TIS

Intertek is seeking an experienced NDT Engineer to support our Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) operations in the Oil & Gas sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring quality and compliance with industry standards, providing technical expertise, and supervising RT activities across various projects.

Location: Bergen. Full time position onshore on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee radiographic testing procedures in accordance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9712, PCN).
  • Provide technical support and guidance to RT Level I and II personnel, ensuring consistency and high standards in inspection activities.
  • Conduct and validate radiographic inspections, interpreting results and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
  • Manage and maintain radiographic testing equipment and ensure adherence to safety protocols, including radiation safety.
  • Collaborate with project teams and clients to address technical challenges and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Prepare and review reports, certifications, and other quality documentation as required.
  • Participate in audits, both internal and client-driven, to maintain compliance with QA/QC standards.
  • Mentor, supervise and manage team of inspectors, assist in scheduling, logistics of the teams.
  • Interact with Direktorat for Strålevern og Atomsikkerhet (DSA)

Requirements

  • EN ISO 9712 or PCN RT Level III (required)
  • Hold Radiation Protection Certificate
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in radiographic testing, including supervisory and Level III roles.
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas sector, with knowledge of industry-specific codes and standards
  • Ability to prioritise and manage conflicting demands whilst meeting operational deadline requirements.
  • Experience in engaging with multiple stakeholders
  • Prior experience conducting Level 2 training
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral), including report writing
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC processes and documentation.
  • Familiarity and other accreditations with other NDT methods (CR, DR, PEC, PAUT, UT) is a definite plus.
