About the role
As our Engineering Project Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering key engineering projects that align with AkzoNobel’s strategic goals. You’ll focus on driving impactful results while fostering innovation and collaboration across teams. With autonomy to make critical decisions, you’ll ensure smooth operations and project outcomes in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key aspects of the role:
• Leading projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and on budget.
• Developing detailed project plans, managing changes, and coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.
• Overseeing project budgets, monitoring financial performance, and ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
• Identifying potential risks, implementing mitigation strategies and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates, addressing concerns and ensuring requirements are met.
• Overseeing quality assurance, ensuring deliverables meet high standards and documenting lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.
• Managing CAPEX/AR project submissions and reviews, including responsibility for project schedules and ensuring alignment with approval processes for large-scale investments.
This is a permanent position with a start date as soon as possible. You will be based at our site located just outside Malmö and will report directly to the Engineering Project Lead.
Who are you?
You hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field and have a proven ability to manage and deliver complex projects. With several years of experience, you bring a solution-oriented mindset and the expertise to guide projects to completion. This role allows you to make a tangible impact by applying your leadership and technical skills to navigate challenges and deliver value. Experience in managing CAPEX/AR processes or similar large-scale investments is a strong advantage, enabling you to contribute to critical business initiatives effectively.
Collaboration will be at the heart of your role, as you work with diverse teams and stakeholders to achieve shared objectives. Using advanced project management tools, you will ensure precision and efficiency throughout your work. Strong communication skills in English will enable you to foster alignment and maintain productivity.
