Job Summary

Business stream Prepared Food and Plant Based within Liquid Food Solutions in Tetra Pak is looking for a person taking on a role as Line Solution Manager-Prepared Food. This role will be instrumental to bring innovation into our Line Solutions to support our customers in the continuously growing global food market.

We are looking for an experienced professional who will be responsible for the value proposition of our line solutions within prepared food. Being a category consisting of a wide range of products, you need to be able to work with a broad palette of solutions - from batch to continuous. Key will be to handle the challenge of dressings, condiments, and tomato preparations, where we need to define improved solutions as market and portfolio is evolving. 

As Line Solution Manager, you will work close to our markets, acting as a senior expert in both the understand and create phase, in order to secure that the most competitive offer is offered and designed. To secure future competitiveness, the role will also have a big responsibility in both the execution and planning of the market plans and innovation roadmaps. 

Main aspects of the job are to understand the processing challenges generated by Prepared Food applications and to clearly communicate our solutions in front of customers. You also need to master the technical aspects of batch and continuous solutions for high viscous products to properly guide our pre project engineers to deliver the most competitive solutions to our customers.  Our solutions shall not only generate the desired product but should also achieve it in the most sustainable way. As such, you will be responsible for “Total Cost of Ownership” calculations at the line level specifically for Prepared Food.

This is a permanent position. A truly global role with a great possibility to drive our long-term success for prepared food.

You can expect to travel up to 20-25% of your working time. The preferred location is Lund or any of our Tetra Pak offices in southern Europe (Italy, Iberia).

What you will do

As Line Solution Manager, you will:

• Support our market organization in the role as senior expert for both commercial and technical aspects of Prepared Food solutions.
• Take ownership of the value proposition of prepared food lines for certain applications.
• Ensure long term competitiveness of our best practice lines by:
  • Providing inputs to the commercial strategic direction of the category.
  • Contributing to the development roadmap for both application and portfolio development. 
• Influence and utilize our tools and processes for line engineering from Prepared Food perspective, including total cost of ownership.
• Drive communication, training, and sales material development to highlight the added value of our best practice lines, both externally and internally.

We believe you have

• A master’s degree in food science/engineering or equivalent. 
• You have minimum 10 years of experience working with processing of liquid foods, preferably including experience in front of Customers and commercial opportunities. 
• Solid experience in the behaviour of high viscous and/or particulate foods.
• You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• You are a person with a strong drive and a can-do attitude. We expect you to have a long-term vision for our prepared food business based on feedback from market and customer needs. You don’t hesitate to define our added value from either technological or technical aspects and you are a great communicator with colleagues as well as customers, globally.
