How did you end up at Ericsson?
Ericsson is a company that I admire a lot for its continuous innovation. Additionally, through the Early Career Program I found the perfect opportunity for rapid personal development and international assignments. Therefore it was a no-brainer for me to apply. Fortunately I was offered the job!
What do you do and Why?
Currently I’m part of a project with a few of my peers in the Early Career Program. We are looking at network near analytics and how Ericsson and Telecom Operators can leverage network and user data. This will make network operations more efficient and enable new services to end users and enterprises. Examples include security and privacy features and enablers of smart cities.
Why are you staying?
Information communication technology is a great driver for positive impact worldwide. Being a part of this through my work at Ericsson is a great feeling. For me, knowing that what I do is at least in a small way contributing towards a brighter future makes it worthwhile.
Why would you encourage people to apply Ericsson’s Early career program?
Through job rotations and strategic projects you get to see multiple parts of Ericsson during your first 18 months at Ericsson. There is no better way to get to know Ericsson in such a short amount of time. The broad understanding and network you get from being a program participant will be invaluable throughout your career at Ericsson. Also, you will surely have the pleasure of being part of a great group of participants!
In what way do feel supported by Ericsson in your own development?
It is really important for me personally to feel that I’m always developing further. I have the benefit of working with many experienced colleagues and that truly is an amazing learning opportunity. Knowing that people will support and push you to do new things is really important. On top of that I have been provided a great number of formal and informal trainings through the program, for example during the introduction weeks and trips to India and North America.
Do you have any advice to people who are considering applying to this program?
Make sure you know why you would like to work for Ericsson and why you are the right applicant for the job position and the Early Career Program. Show that you are willing to put in the extra effort to take full advantage of the benefits of being a program participant.
