Set in one of the most beautiful areas of Reykjavik right next to Iceland's only geothermal beach the newly built campus offers students modern first-rate facilities. The building has well equipped classrooms, students have 24-hour access to spacious study facilities and the student computer facilities are exemplary. In addition to a number of computer labs, wireless Internet connections are available in all buildings.

Campus facilities
IT facilities
Our IT Services provide a range of computer facilities to help you study. IT suites are located across campus – many with 24-hour access. IT facilities also include:
  • wireless network
  • extensive printing facilities
  • adapted PCs for students with disabilities or additional learning needs.
Library
The Reykjavik University Library is open seven days a week during term time and provides a number of services to students. The University has also developed one of Iceland's largest and most advanced electronic libraries with excellent access to international databases and e-journals in all of the fields of study offered by the University.

Student Counseling and Careers Service
Student Careers and Counsellng service specialises in helping students improve their study methods and efficiency and with personal issues that may arise during their studies. Its aim is also to help students build increased awareness of their abilities, opinions, and interests so they can be used effectively in academia and the workplace.

Students Union
The University of Reykjavik Student´s Union (Opens in new window) is the focus of many student activities on campus.

Sports Facilities
In the basement of the university, World Class (Opens in new window) runs a gym which offers discounts to students.

Book Store
In the main building you can find the book store, Bóksala Stúdenta (Opens in new window), which stocks all the books you will need for your studies.

Food
There are two cafes on campus that sell food and beverages to students.
Té og Káffi (Opens in new window)- sells a selection of coffee drinks, light snacks and bakery products.
Malið (Opens in new window)- Serves hot food everyday snacks and refreshments.
