Arcada University of Applied Sciences

Arcada is an accredited university of applied sciences in Helsinki, Finland, which was established in 1996. Its mandate, as stated by the Finnish Ministry of Education in 1998, is to promote Finnish-Swedish language and culture, taking into particular consideration the educational needs of young Finns of Swedish origin. Arcada is administered by the Stiftelsen Arcada Foundation.
Arcada in brief

With a staff of around 170 members, and a student population numbering 2 700, the Arcada University of Applied Sciences offers 16 Bachelor’s degree programmes, three of which are in English and six Master’s degree programmes, two of Which are in English. The fields of study are sport, health care, social services, business administration, media, culture and technology. Arcada also offers specialised, professionally-oriented supplemental training and open courses within the framework of its further education programme.

We provide an international learning environment in which close to 10 percent of our student population originates from some 40 countries.
