A mechanical engineer with Msc. degree in Structural Mechanics and passion for problem solving. He has worked as a consultant for many different clients such as Volvo Cars, Volvo Trucks, ZOOX, CEVT/Zeekr, JLR, NIO etc.
During the years he has built up a good competence within FE analysis in DURA/NVH analysis on system and component level. Analytical calculations in MATLAB as well as optimization and weight reduction are always a major part of his work. All these have been performed in close cooperation with design engineers, in a global environment. NASTRAN, OptiStruct, ABAQUS, ANSYS as well as running Optimization loops are his main area of expertise.
He has also worked for seven years as Planning and Project control engineer in Oil, Gas and petrochemical plant construction projects. Preparing the project plan based on the requirements from the client and standards/methods while considering the capacity of the company (Machine/Budget/Personnel/etc) was his responsibility.
Defining milestones and deliveries, time schedule, Man/Machine/Material etc. also planning and controlling the daily/monthly activities and costs was a major part of his work.
In his spare time Ilia enjoys swimming and has previous experience as a trainer and teacher.
