Role description
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our R&D team and drive the development of our next-generation alkaline electrolyser system. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that sits at the intersection of design, simulation, manufacturing, and experimental validation.
You’ll take ownership of mechanical aspects across the full product lifecycle—from 3D modelling and manufacturing drawings to simulations and real-world testing. If you thrive on solving complex problems, working across disciplines, and turning ideas into hardware, you’ll fit right in.
You will be based at our Gothenburg office.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using CAD (Creo)
- Participate in concept development, prototyping, and testing
- Collaborate across engineering, production and operations to ensure manufacturability and quality
- Communicate with suppliers and support customers when technical clarification is needed
- Multi-physics simulation of the electrolysis process
- Verification and validation of the simulation results
- Characterization of material properties and process parameters in relation with the simulations.
Your profile
You have an academic degree in relevant field together with a product oriented as well as analytical approach to problem solving. Work experience within the relevant field will be of great value. Relevant fields include:
- Design of pressure vessels
- Design of Electrolyser
- Design of Fuel cell
- Design of automatic electrical systems
- Fluent English is a must.
