Background
Scania are in the middle of driving the shift towards a sustainable transport system. A
new era of battery electric vehicles are being developed and the complexity within the
electrical systems are growing by the day. The rapid growth are challenging the
methods within Scania, for how to deal with complex drawings towards suppliers as
well as inhouse.

Assignment
The goal with this project is to develop a new Layout-drawing that explains how to
assemble all the electrical modules together from the supplier by:
• Analyse where we stand now relative to the set goal within this thesis project
• Learning the tools and the way of working within Scania
• Understand the Layout-drawing as it is today as well as the challenges
• Taking advantage of the tools within Scania and automatize the drawing to
generate only the necessary information for each unique vehicle.
• Suggest next step in way of working

Education
The ideal thesis student have a high degree of logical thinking, absorbs new
knowledge, shows initiative, works in a systematic way and takes new social contacts
with ease. Educational background as 2nd cycle student aiming at a major in;
MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or IT.
Number of students: 1-2 (preferably 2)
Time: 20 weeks
Start date: 2022-01-10 to 2022-06-10
Credits: 30hp
