Intertek tests and certifies new products to ensure they do not break, catch fire, or release toxic chemicals that could harm people and the environment, for example.
The role primarily involves taking responsibility for keeping Intertek's own equipment at the home addresses updated and calibrated to meet market expectations. You will have overall responsibility and opportunities to develop the equipment. We are looking for someone with years of practical experience in calibrating various measurement systems.

About the position


In the role of calibration engineer, you will work in a wide technical field, performing maintenance and calibration of both simple and advanced measurement systems, primarily within Radio Frequency and Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) to ensure reliable measurement results and proper performance of the measurement instruments we use in our operations. It is in our laboratory that we verify our customers' products before they go to market, thereby ensuring their safety and durability for people and the environment. You may also assist customers with external calibration of their RF equipment in collaboration with our calibration unit in Västerås. You will work both independently and as part of an experienced team with senior colleagues, where we work together to achieve set goals.

Responsibilities
In your daily work, you will, among other things:
- Perform practical calibrations and some maintenance work on primarily RF equipment and accessories (cables, attenuators, amplifiers, etc.).
- Contribute to the department's performance, participate in the development of new equipment, and provide instructions to colleagues.
- Verify compliance with requirements or specifications.
- Complete measurement protocols and update equipment registers.
- Manage bookings and related work for equipment calibrated by external suppliers.


Your profile
We believe that you, as an applicant, have several years of practical experience as an engineer, service technician, or technician with work experience in a similar technical field (preferably with experience in RF calibration). You have a technical interest and a curiosity about measurement technology. Furthermore, you are a person who enjoys having many contacts. Your strong interest in technology builds trust, and you are motivated to solve technical problems.
