Ongoing digitalization, together with virtualization and the introduction of 5G is driving new opportunities for service providers. At Ericsson Digital Services, we help service providers prosper in the digital economy. From improving the way service providers engage with their customers to automating operations, we're helping service providers reach new levels of programmability, access and agility – levels that digital natives call home.

Our Application Development Platform (ADP) Framework is our way forward for developing cloud native application, following a modern design pattern: microservice architecture based on container technology and Kubernetes orchestration to ensure that we reach our mission.

Now, we are looking for a Cloud Native Tools Developers with a passion for software and test craftmanship who wish to take part in our journey ahead!

What you will do
In this role, you will join our group of skilled software engineers. You will have the opportunity to:
  • Work in a multi-functional team with responsibility from pre-study to release and Customer acceptance for new functionality
  • Development of pipelines and utilities for ADP generic services release automation, enabling quick product releases
  • Efficient free open-source software (FOSS) scanning and security analysis
  • Simplification of microservice development, for instance by creating Bob build environment and microservice chassis for GO, Python, Java, etc.
  • Onboarding of ADP applications and generic services to ADP and setting up CICD (continuous integration and continuous delivery) framework
You will bring
Your personal qualities are important for us, and we believe you are curious, innovative and collaborative. As part of NextGen we are seeking a colleague who wish to explore your career with us and have less than 3 years of relevant experience.
In addition, we believe you have:

  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Wireless communication or equivalent
  • Knowledge and ideally some hands-on experience in Software Design and development in a Linux environment
  • Passion for software engineering and finding agile ways to work. You love to discuss and are comfortable about sharing knowledge
  • Experience within any of the following programming languages: Python, Java and Go.
  • Basic knowledge about Cloud Native and Docker
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
