Business Development Representative to Humphree

We are now hiring a Business Development Representative with focus on commercial boats, to strengthen Humphree’s skilled sales team. Who are we?
Humphree is an entrepreneurial company in the marine industry. We develop industry leading trim and stabilization systems for motor vessels. Our interceptors and fins contribute to lower fuel consumption, and thus reduced environmental impact, while improving the comfort for people onboard. Our market is global, and our products are mounted on some of the worlds most advanced ships. All our departments are represented in new, operationally adapted premises in Gothenburg. Here you can follow our stabilization systems from the design stage, through prototype and testing to final production, all within walking distance from your desk. We have a close collaboration between the departments and our products span several technology areas.

About the role
As Business Development Representative you will work closely with Regional Sales Managers to improve our business within the Commercial and Governmental sector, globally. Humphree delivers high-quality products, and your customers will be ship manufacturers, operators, designers as well as distributors. Work duties include:
- Prospect cold leads and conduct thorough research on leads
- Engage in proactive outreach
- Identify and develop knowledge of the Commercial and Governmental markets, and taking on other key activities to effectively qualify leads
- Attend fairs, conferences and find new ways for building relationships.
- Demonstrate the product, handle prospect objections, and draft contracts
- Guide your customers to the right choice of system and close deals
From time to time, you may also participate in sea trials to ensure performance and function of installed system. You will be part of an experienced sales team with around ten colleagues, reporting to Sales Manager International. The position is placed at our main office in Gothenburg and involves approximately 50 travel days per year.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset and a genuine interest in developing sales through strategic relationships. We expect you to have experience from B2B customer projects on a global market and believe a higher technical education will assist you in quickly becoming familiar with our technically advanced products. Since you will work in an international environment, we expect you to communicate fluently in both written and spoken English. Fluency in Swedish is a great advantage.
